Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI)
Three-Step Process
  1. Introduction

In the beginning, our goal is to introduce the services and capabilities of Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI). For decades our custom systems have been reducing energy costs in facilities of all kinds by up to 30%. Our services can also improve power quality and reduce the likelihood of downtime in your facility.

In order to learn more about your unique needs, we secure your permission to have the person who best understands your facility's electrical system guide one of our representatives through your building to perform a walkthrough. During the walkthrough, the EASI representative seeks to gather information about the:

    • Electrical system
    • Equipment operations
    • Electrical billing issues and history
    • Power quality challenges
    • Electrical maintenance challenges

Once we have assembled an overview of your facility, we use our proprietary EASI software application to estimate a minimum cost savings and project the maximum amount of time the system will take to pay for itself.

There is no fee of any kind required to develop these estimates.

  2. Evaluation Report and In-Depth Site Survey

Using the information above, Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI) prepares a detailed report outlining our proposed approach to designing a custom energy savings system around your facility’s individual needs. This approach involves an in-depth site survey that captures the data needed to engineer and design the system.

The site survey offers a great deal of additional insight about your electrical system, including:

    • A detailed inventory of all the electrical loads in the facility and their placement, which is useful for maintenance, insurance and tax purposes
    • A calculation of the historical usage and cost to operate these electrical loads by category, which essentially serves as an itemization of your electric bill.

Due to the comprehensive nature of the site survey and the value of the information obtained, we charge a reasonable fee for its completion.

Before beginning the site survey, the Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI) representative provides you with the formal proposal report. The report offers an overview of the types and functions of technologies to be used in your EASI system, and it fully explains the requirements, timeline and anticipated results of the remainder of the project. Then, a contract to perform the site survey is prepared, discussed and executed. Your questions are welcome at all points during the process.

Once you hire us to perform a site survey, we begin gathering data for your entire electrical system. This process includes:

    • Electrical testing on major loads and electrical panels
    • Evaluation of heat levels in your electrical system
    • Analysis of the effective load and run times of your lighting and equipment
    • Reviews of your billing history for usage and demand characteristics
    • Harmonics testing
    • Detailed visual inspection of your electrical distribution system
    • Interviews with your staff

Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI) uses the information gathered in the site survey to design a custom energy savings system to meet your facility’s individual needs. We calculate the total cost of the project, your guaranteed energy savings and your estimated payback period. Energy Automation Systems Inc (EASI) backs the guaranteed energy savings using a policy underwritten by Lloyd's of London.

  3. Project Installation and Ongoing Verification of Savings

Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI) builds and/or acquires all the necessary technology to develop your custom system. We coordinate all installation work, which is performed by licensed electricians according to applicable codes, regulations and facility-specific safety and operational requirements. Your involvement can be as little or as much as you desire. All EASI equipment is backed by a three-year warranty

As the system is being installed, "before" and "after" data will be captured. An Energy Automation Systems Inc. (EASI) representative follows up on a regular basis to verify the savings and make sure you are satisfied with the results. We measure and verify a system’s performance using methods in compliance with the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP). The IPMVP was established by a network of energy professional and organizations from more than 25 countries to standardize the methods by which energy conservation projects are measured and verified.
